The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has officially reopened CCM Liti Stadium in Singida to host league matches following the completion of essential renovations.
This decision comes after the stadium was initially closed due to infrastructure issues that did not meet the required standards outlined in the club licensing regulations.
CCM Liti Stadium, once a key venue for football activities in the region, faced a temporary shutdown because its facilities did not align with the set regulations for stadium safety, accessibility, and overall infrastructure quality.
As part of the ongoing effort to improve football infrastructure across the country, TFF directed that all venues meet specific requirements to ensure they provide a safe and conducive environment for players and fans alike.
Clifford Mario Ndimbo, the TFF Public Relations Officer, confirmed that following the renovations, CCM Liti Stadium was inspected and found to meet the necessary standards for use in league matches.
He expressed satisfaction with the improvements made and acknowledged the efforts made by the stadium owners in addressing the issues raised during earlier inspections.
Ndimbo also emphasized that TFF is committed to encouraging all football clubs to prioritize the maintenance and improvement of their home ground infrastructure.
He highlighted that the collaboration between clubs and stadium owners is crucial to ensuring that all football venues across the country remain in top condition.
TFF's continuous support and oversight aim to uplift the standards of Tanzanian football and ensure that all players, officials, and supporters can enjoy a safe and enjoyable football experience.
The reopening of CCM Liti Stadium marks the third venue to be restored for use in league matches. Prior to this, Kirumba Stadium in Mwanza and Ali Hassan Mwinyi Stadium in Tabora were also rehabilitated and reopened for use.
These renovations are part of TFF's broader strategy to ensure that Tanzanian football stadiums meet international standards, enhancing the overall quality of the sport in the country.
With the reopening of CCM Liti Stadium, fans in Singida will once again have the opportunity to support their local team in their home matches.
The community, which has long been passionate about football, can now look forward to cheering on their team in the comfort of a well-improved venue.
The decision is expected to bring renewed excitement to the region’s football scene and further promote the sport’s growth in Tanzania.
