Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) Secretary-General, Ambassador Dr. Emmanuel John Nchimbi, has reaffirmed that the party’s policies will continue to be anchored in people-centered development, peace, and national stability as the country prepares for the October 2025 General Election.

“Our foundation remains firm,” said Ambassador Nchimbi. “CCM’s mission has always been, and will always be, to improve people’s lives while safeguarding peace and harmony in our nation.”

He made the remarks on Sunday, April 6, 2025, during a working tour in Songea Municipality, where he addressed large and enthusiastic crowds at Liziboni, Majimaji Grounds, and Mshangano.

Residents gathered in the hundreds, eager to hear from the party’s top leader even as he attended to other official duties.

While passing through Liziboni, Ambassador Nchimbi was stopped by an impromptu group of citizens who wanted to greet and hear from him. Touched by the gesture, he paused his convoy and addressed them briefly.

“I can never forget Songea,” he told the crowd. “This place played a big role in shaping who I am today, both nationally and internationally. I thank you for your trust and support.”

At Majimaji Grounds, he laid the foundation stone for a new CCM commercial building featuring 50 business units, and was met by a sea of supporters. Addressing them, he made a powerful call to action ahead of the elections.

“I urge every citizen—not only here in Songea, but across the country—to prepare, participate, and vote when the time comes,” he said. “Your vote is your voice, and through it, we can build a stronger, more prosperous Tanzania.”

At Mshangano, where he officially inaugurated 50 new business units for the local CCM branch, he emphasized once again the value of civic participation.

“Development doesn’t come from words alone,” he stated. “It comes from action—and one of the most important actions we can take as citizens is to vote. That’s how we drive change and growth.”

His visit drew widespread excitement and highlighted the strong connection between CCM leadership and the grassroots.

As the 2025 elections draw near, Ambassador Nchimbi’s message was clear: unity, participation, and shared responsibility are key to Tanzania’s continued progress.
