Mwinjuma urges artists to follow legal procedures in production

The Deputy Minister for Information, Culture, Arts, and Sports, Hamisi Mwinjuma, has called on artists across the country to adhere to legal procedures before starting their production work.

Mwinjuma made these remarks during his visit to the Huba drama production camp at BigOne Entertainment, where he assessed the ongoing production process.

He emphasized that the proper steps include securing production permits from the Tanzania Film Board to facilitate the acquisition of suitable filming locations based on the story's requirements.

This, he noted, will enhance the quality and value of the artists' work.

"I commend the producers for their outstanding efforts over the past nine years, since Huba first premiered on the Maisha Magic Bongo channel through DSTV," Mwinjuma stated.

The Deputy Minister further praised the producers for expanding their work beyond Tanzania's borders, highlighting the success of their ventures in other regions.

He mentioned that drama series such as Aziza, Sultana, and Kasri have all been produced in Kenya.

Meanwhile, Dr. Gervas Kasiga (Chuma), the Acting Executive Secretary of the Tanzania Film Board, also congratulated the producers.

He urged them to continue their work with professionalism and creativity, nurturing local talent and further elevating the status and economic potential of the film industry in Tanzania.

Aziz Mohamed, Director of BigOne Entertainment, expressed his gratitude to the Deputy Minister for the visit. He assured that they would continue to produce high-quality work that contributes to the growth of Tanzania's film and drama sector.
