Boni Consilli Girls and Aigle Noir settled for a 1-1 draw in a thrilling match of the CAF U17 Girls Integrated Football Tournament held today at the Azam Complex in Chamazi. Boni Consilli Girls took an early lead in the 9th minute, thanks to a well-executed goal by Peace Ayiorwoth.
They maintained their advantage throughout the first half, heading into the break with a 1-0 lead.
However, Aigle Noir came back stronger in the second half, equalizing in the 82nd minute through Ella Kezimana's clinical finish. Despite several attempts from both teams in the remaining minutes, the match ended in a stalemate after the full 90 minutes.
Boni Consilli Girls' squad included Jemi Mah Tendo, Evas Tushemerirwe, Teddy Nyafwono, Peace Ayiorwoth, Justine Ayerango, Esther Ainembabazi, Zidah Asiimwe, Shamirah Namukabirye, Uwayo Imurinde, Mackline Niwandinda, and Hadijjah Balinabyo.
Aigle Noir fielded Mediatrice Nsabimana, Neema Akinyishu, Ella Kezimana, Ange Nice Nibogora, Clairia Irankunda, Devine Iradukunda, Fillotte Ndereyimana, Aline Hakizimana, Nell Yssa Kamikazi, Eny Inamahori, and Lauraine Irineza.
