KMC FC has vowed to start the second round of the NBC Tanzania Premier League with a victory as they face Coastal Union on December 29, 2024, at Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium in Arusha.
Speaking to The Responded Online, KMC's Public Relations Officer, Khalid Chukuchuku, expressed the team’s readiness to claim all three points from their opponents.
“We have drawn twice with Coastal Union in our previous encounters, both at home and away, with no goals scored. This time, we are determined to break that streak and take home the three points,” said Chukuchuku.
KMC captain Hance Masoud emphasized the team’s respect for their opponents, acknowledging Coastal Union’s strong squad. However, he asserted KMC’s confidence and focus on securing a positive outcome.
“We respect Coastal Union as they are a good team, but we believe we are better. The league this season has been challenging, but we are preparing to fight and ensure a strong finish to the second round,” Masoud stated.
KMC's head coach, Kali Ongala, acknowledged the team’s challenging position in the league standings. However, he reassured fans that the squad is working hard to improve and avoid relegation.
“We understand our current situation is tough, but we are planning and preparing to pull ourselves out of danger,” said Ongala.
The clash with Coastal Union marks the beginning of KMC’s effort to climb the league table and secure a better position in this competitive season.
