Arusha is set to welcome 2025 in grand style with an electrifying New Year’s Eve celebration headlined by Congolese music legend, Mbenzu Ngamboni Bokili, famously known as Bozi Boziana.

Known for his timeless Lingala hits such as Confiance and Babokilo, Boziana’s performance promises to be a nostalgic treat for fans of the 1990s while also introducing his vibrant artistry to a new generation.

The event, organized by the Arusha Regional Government, has been crafted to offer an unforgettable experience blending music, culture, and family-friendly entertainment.

The inclusion of Boziana, a celebrated icon in African music, underscores Arusha’s growing reputation as a hub for high-profile events that bring international stars to the local stage.

His anticipated performance not only adds glamour to the night but also serves as a reminder of the rich cultural ties and shared musical heritage across the African continent.

Complementing Boziana’s performance will be Tanzania’s own hip-hop luminary, Farid Kubanda, popularly known as Fid Q.

Renowned for his lyrical prowess and stage presence, Fid Q will lead a lineup of local talent, creating a perfect harmony of international and homegrown artistry.

However, the event is more than just music. With choirs, Kaswida groups, and traditional dance troupes set to perform, the night is poised to celebrate Tanzania’s diverse cultural identity.

These performances, deeply rooted in tradition, provide an opportunity for attendees to connect with their heritage while enjoying contemporary entertainment.

Recognizing the importance of inclusivity, organizers have designed the event to cater to families.

A dedicated children’s zone equipped with games and activities ensures that even the youngest attendees will have a memorable time.

Arusha Regional Commissioner Paul Makonda has positioned the celebration as a community-centered initiative aimed at fostering unity and joy as the year ends.

Speaking during his visit to the iconic Clock Tower to inspect preparations, Makonda invited families from across Arusha and neighboring regions to participate.

“This is more than just a celebration; it’s a moment to reflect on the past year, embrace togetherness, and step into 2025 with renewed hope,” he stated.

The event also promises economic benefits, providing a platform for local vendors and entrepreneurs to showcase their offerings.

From discounted drinks to sizzling nyama choma (grilled meat), the evening is designed to cater to both the palate and the pocket, making it accessible to all.

Security remains a top priority, with Arusha Regional Police Commander SACP Justine Masejo confirming comprehensive measures to ensure the safety of attendees.

With officers deployed on foot, motorcycles, and patrol vehicles, residents and visitors can celebrate with peace of mind.

This New Year’s Eve celebration highlights Arusha’s dynamic cultural scene and its capacity to host large-scale events that resonate with diverse audiences.

By combining the energy of global and local stars with a family-friendly atmosphere, the event reflects the city’s vibrancy and its aspirations for the future.

As the clock ticks toward midnight, Arusha will not just be marking the end of a year but also celebrating its growth, unity, and limitless potential as it steps into 2025.
