Dar es Salaam: Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa yesterday July, July 14, 2024, commended
the Tanzania Assemblies of God (TAG) Church for its exemplary efforts in
nurturing children in the faith and imparting the word of God.
Speaking at the
TAG Church's 85th Anniversary celebrations at the Uhuru Stadium, Majaliwa,
representing President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, lauded the church for its
significant achievements in spiritual education and community cohesion.
"Today, I witnessed young
children reciting God's words flawlessly from memory and eloquently explaining
the Foundations of the TAG Church without any prompts. This is a remarkable
achievement, and you deserve high praise," Majaliwa remarked.
The Prime Minister highlighted the
church's role in fostering faith-based and social relationships, emphasizing
its contributions to essential services such as education, healthcare, and
community development. He underscored the importance of unity and cooperation
among Christians and other religious believers, which strengthens societal
solidarity and enhances peace and security.
"The TAG Church sets an example
by promoting unity and cooperation among Christians of various denominations
and believers of other religions. This unity is crucial for maintaining
societal solidarity and enhancing peace and security," Majaliwa stated.
The Prime Minister expressed the
government's gratitude to religious leaders for their pivotal role in promoting
peace, stability, and development across the nation. He acknowledged the vital
contributions of religious institutions in reinforcing good morals, condemning
evil, and preventing moral decay.
"The government deeply values the
contributions of religious institutions in fostering good morals and societal
well-being. We have always collaborated with religious institutions,
particularly in social campaigns aimed at educating and promoting proper
conduct and good morals within the community," Majaliwa affirmed.
The 85th Anniversary of the TAG Church
was a significant event, drawing leaders and congregants from across the
nation. The celebration highlighted the church's long-standing commitment to
spiritual growth and community service, reinforcing its position as a
cornerstone of faith and unity in Tanzania.
