India’s solar manufacturing industry has strengthened its engagement with Tanzania’s growing renewable-energy market, with Novasys Greenergy Limited participating in the 10th Africa Power & Solar Energy Expo, which opened in Dar es Salaam on Wednesday, bringing together companies, investors, technology providers and energy-sector stakeholders from across Africa and beyond.
Representing Novasys Greenergy at the three-day exhibition is Pratik Joshi, Associate Vice President for Sales and Marketing, whose participation places the Indian solar manufacturer at the centre of discussions around technology, market expansion and potential partnerships in Tanzania and the wider East African region. Joshi has extensive experience in the renewable-energy sector and has been involved in solar sales, business development and market engagement across different markets.
The participation comes as Tanzania seeks to expand electricity generation, strengthen energy access and attract greater private-sector investment into renewable energy.
The Dar es Salaam exhibition provides an important meeting point for international manufacturers and African buyers at a time when demand for solar technologies is increasing across residential, commercial, industrial and off-grid applications.
Novasys Greenergy describes itself as an Indian manufacturer of solar photovoltaic modules, producing high-efficiency panels for residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural applications. The company has positioned innovation, product quality and sustainable energy deployment at the centre of its business strategy, while promoting its “Happy Energy” vision for cleaner and more sustainable communities.
For Novasys, the Tanzanian exhibition represents more than an opportunity to display solar panels. It provides a platform to engage directly with distributors, project developers, engineering companies, installers, investors and potential institutional customers who are increasingly looking at solar power as part of Africa’s response to rising energy demand and the need for cleaner sources of electricity.
The company’s presence also reflects the increasingly international character of Tanzania’s energy market.
Organisers say the 2026 editions of the Power & Energy Tanzania and SolarExpo Tanzania exhibitions have attracted more than 160 exhibitors from over 25 countries, with technologies spanning electricity generation, transmission, solar power and renewable-energy systems.
Novasys is not entering the African market from a standing start. The company has already maintained visibility at major African solar events, including Solar & Storage Live Africa in Johannesburg earlier this year, where Joshi represented the company as it showcased its solar PV solutions and engaged with stakeholders in the African renewable-energy sector.
With Tanzania positioned as a potential gateway to the wider East African market, the company’s participation in Dar es Salaam could open further conversations around distribution, project supply, commercial partnerships and the deployment of solar technologies in a region where reliable and affordable electricity remains central to industrialisation and economic development.
The exhibition therefore places companies such as Novasys at an important intersection between India’s expanding solar manufacturing capabilities and Africa’s accelerating demand for renewable-energy solutions.
As Tanzania works to mobilise more private investment into its energy sector, the presence of international manufacturers in Dar es Salaam signals that the competition for Africa’s emerging clean-energy market is increasingly becoming global.
