India’s IndoAsian has joined the 10th Africa Power & Solar Energy Expo in Dar es Salaam, placing the company among international players seeking to engage with Tanzania’s expanding electricity and energy infrastructure market and explore opportunities across the wider East African region.

Leading IndoAsian’s participation at the 2026 exhibition is Poonam Pande, Associate Vice President and Head of International Marketing, who is representing the company at a platform that brings together manufacturers, investors, distributors, contractors, technology providers and energy-sector professionals from Tanzania, Africa and international markets.

The company’s participation comes at a time when Tanzania is pursuing increased investment in electricity generation, transmission and distribution while also encouraging greater private-sector participation in the energy sector.

For international manufacturers, the changing energy landscape is creating opportunities to establish stronger commercial relationships with local partners and gain access to markets across East Africa.

IndoAsian has built a long-standing presence in the electrical industry, having been established in India in 1958. The company operates under Legrand Group India and offers a range of electrical products and solutions, including protection devices and other equipment used in electrical infrastructure. Its business has increasingly extended beyond India into international markets.

For Pande and the IndoAsian team, the Dar es Salaam exhibition provides an opportunity to engage directly with stakeholders in the African market, understand evolving customer requirements and explore potential partnerships capable of supporting the development of modern electrical infrastructure.

The company’s presence also reflects a broader trend in which Indian manufacturers are increasingly looking towards Africa as demand grows for reliable, safe and efficient electrical systems. Tanzania’s strategic position within East Africa gives such companies an opportunity to engage not only with the domestic market but also with a wider regional economy connected through trade and infrastructure networks.

IndoAsian’s international marketing activities have previously included engagements with distributors and industry stakeholders in African markets, particularly within the East African region. Such engagements are increasingly important as manufacturers seek to establish local distribution networks and long-term commercial partnerships rather than simply supply products into individual markets.

The 2026 exhibition therefore provides IndoAsian with a platform extending beyond product display. It offers an avenue for business-to-business engagement, market intelligence, technology exchange and discussions around the role of international manufacturers in Africa’s evolving energy infrastructure.

As Tanzania continues to position itself as a regional trade and investment hub, the participation of companies such as IndoAsian highlights the growing intersection between India’s manufacturing capabilities and Africa’s expanding demand for energy infrastructure and technology.

For IndoAsian, its presence in Dar es Salaam places Tanzania within a broader international conversation about the future of electricity systems in Africa, while creating new space for dialogue between Indian manufacturers and East African businesses seeking technologies and partnerships capable of supporting the region’s next phase of energy development.
