Simba SC have intensified preparations in South Africa ahead of the Kariakoo Derby against arch-rivals Yanga SC, as the two sides await the resumption of the NBC Tanzania Premier League.
The derby, scheduled for October in Dar es Salaam, is among the key fixtures on Simba’s domestic calendar as the club seeks to maintain its momentum after the league was temporarily halted for the FIFA international window.
The league break has allowed national teams to prepare for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, with Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda set to jointly host the continental tournament.
