Airtel Money Tanzania has unveiled “Minyoosho Inaendelea na My Airtel App,” a new three-month customer rewards campaign aimed at promoting the use of digital financial services through the My Airtel App while offering customers a chance to win instant prizes.
The campaign follows the conclusion of Airtel Money’s “Mwaka Umeyooka” promotion and is designed to encourage more Tanzanians to adopt convenient, secure and self-service digital financial solutions.
Under the promotion, Airtel Money customers who download and actively use the My Airtel App will be eligible to participate in a Spin & Win feature.
Customers earn a chance to spin a digital wheel after completing qualifying Airtel Money transactions through the application.
Prizes up for grabs include motorcycles, television sets, smartphones, cash rewards and other instant gifts.
Qualifying transactions include sending money, merchant payments, airtime purchases, data bundle purchases, bill payments, cash withdrawals, international money transfers and home broadband payments conducted through the My Airtel App.
Speaking during the launch in Dar es Salaam, Airtel Money Tanzania Director Andrew Rugamba said the campaign reflects the company’s commitment to expanding access to digital financial services while rewarding customers for embracing digital channels.
“Minyoosho Inaendelea is about encouraging more customers to experience the convenience and benefits of the My Airtel App. Every eligible transaction provides an opportunity to win instantly while building confidence in the use of digital financial services for everyday needs,” he said.
Mr Rugamba noted that the initiative seeks to make digital transactions more engaging by introducing a rewards-based experience that encourages customers to use self-service financial solutions.
He said the campaign also supports broader efforts to increase digital inclusion by enabling more people to participate in Tanzania’s growing digital economy.
“Our goal goes beyond rewarding customers. We want to create a digital experience that promotes greater adoption of digital financial services and empowers customers to transact confidently wherever they are,” he said.
According to Airtel Money, the campaign is aligned with its “Airtel Kila Kona” strategy, which focuses on expanding access to digital financial services across both urban and rural communities through accessible and innovative technology.
The company also used the launch to remind customers to remain alert against fraud. Airtel said winners will only be contacted through its official customer care number 100 and will receive confirmation through official SMS notifications.
Customers have been advised never to share their Airtel Money PIN, one-time passwords (OTP) or other personal information with anyone claiming to represent the company through unofficial channels.
The campaign is expected to run nationwide, offering Airtel Money users more opportunities to win while encouraging greater uptake of digital financial services.
