The Deputy Executive Secretary of the National Planning Commission for Business and Innovation, Dr. Blandina Kilama, has expressed strong confidence in the High Flow Petroleum Regulatory Authority (PURA) to lead the successful implementation of Tanzania’s Vision 2050, which kicked off on July 1, 2026.
Her remarks came during the ongoing International Trade Fair – Sabasaba, held at PURA’s exhibition stand.
Dr. Kilama highlighted that PURA is expected to play a frontline role in ensuring that the ambitious goals outlined in Vision 2050 are met on schedule.
To support this, PURA’s representative, Mr. Ebeneza Mollel, announced that the authority has revised and relaunched its Institutional Strategic Plan for 2026/27 to 2030/31 to align closely with the priorities and targets of Vision 2050.
As energy is one of the five key pillars driving the nation’s development aspirations, PURA remains committed to raising awareness and educating citizens about the exploration, development, and sustainable production of petroleum and natural gas resources in Tanzania.
This commitment is part of PURA’s active participation in the 50th International Trade Fair in Dar es Salaam, popularly known as Sabasaba.
By strengthening regulatory frameworks and promoting responsible resource management, PURA aims to ensure that the growth of the oil and gas sector contributes directly to improved livelihoods, economic stability, and a prosperous future for all Tanzanians.
The authority invites every citizen to engage with this transformative journey toward achieving the shared vision of a modern, industrialized Tanzania by 2050.
