The Office of the Treasury Registrar (OTR) has been urged to continue improving service delivery and prioritize respectful engagement with all visitors, especially elderly citizens, during the ongoing 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (Sabasaba).
Investment Secretary, Dr. Fred Msemwa, made the remarks on July 3, 2026, after visiting the OTR exhibition stand at Karume Hall, where he expressed satisfaction with the services being offered and the overall presentation of government functions at the fair.
He said institutions participating in the exhibition should use the platform to clearly explain their work to the public while maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer care.
Dr. Msemwa stressed that elderly visitors should be given special attention, including faster service and patient communication, noting that they represent a group that deserves respect and careful assistance.
He added that public exhibitions such as Sabasaba are important for strengthening understanding between government institutions and citizens, and should therefore reflect efficiency, transparency, and good service delivery.

The 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (Sabasaba) began on June 28, 2026, at the Mwalimu Julius Nyerere grounds in Dar es Salaam and is expected to end on July 13, 2026.
The annual fair brings together government institutions, private companies, and international exhibitors, offering a platform for business networking, public education, and investment promotion.
