Young Africans Sports Club (Young Africans S.C.) will depart for Kigoma in the early hours of June 11, 2026, ahead of their important NBC Premier League encounter against Mashujaa FC.

The match is scheduled to take place on June 13, 2026, at Lake Tanganyika Stadium, a fixture that comes at a decisive stage of the season where the race for the title continues to intensify.

Speaking on the team’s preparations, Yanga’s Head of Information and Communications, Ally Kamwe, said the squad’s build-up has remained on track, with players showing strong commitment in training sessions as they fine-tune their readiness for the away assignment.

Kamwe said the team will spend two days in Kigoma to complete final preparations, including training sessions on June 11 and June 12, before taking to the field against Mashujaa FC.

“Preparations are going well. The players are in good condition and are working hard in training as we get ready for the journey and the match ahead,” said Kamwe.

He added that the squad has received a major boost with the return of previously injured players, all of whom are now fully rejoining team activities.

Players who were on national team duty have also returned and integrated back into the squad without any reported concerns.

The full availability of players is expected to strengthen Yanga’s options as they continue their pursuit of the NBC Premier League.

The Dar es Salaam-based giants currently sit at the top of the standings and are focused on maintaining consistency as the season approaches its final stretch.

Yanga will be aiming for maximum points in Kigoma to protect their position at the summit, while Mashujaa FC are expected to rely on home advantage and strong support at Lake Tanganyika Stadium to challenge the league leaders.

The encounter is expected to draw significant attention, with both sides carrying important ambitions as the season enters its closing phase.
