The Tanzania Electrical, Mechanical and Electronics Services Agency (TEMESA) has marked 20 years since its establishment, highlighting key achievements in improving technical services, machinery management, and strengthening electrical infrastructure across the country.

The milestone celebration held in Dodoma brought together government officials, stakeholders, and staff, reflecting the agency’s growing contribution to national development through reliable engineering and maintenance services.

TEMESA Director General Kheri Mahimbali said the agency has recorded significant progress over the past two decades, driven by dedication from employees, strong government support, and cooperation with the private sector.

He said TEMESA has continued to expand and improve its services, especially in vehicle and machinery maintenance, supporting government operations by ensuring equipment and fleets are properly serviced and functional.

This has helped improve efficiency in public service delivery across various institutions.

Mahimbali further noted that the agency has played an important role in improving electrical infrastructure, particularly through the installation and maintenance of street lighting systems in different parts of the country.

These efforts have contributed to improved safety, better urban and rural environments, and more reliable public infrastructure.

He said the achievements align with the government’s vision under President Samia Suluhu Hassan, which emphasizes efficiency, accountability, and improved performance in public institutions to ensure better services for citizens.

According to him, TEMESA will continue strengthening its operations by improving service delivery systems and expanding its commercial activities.

The aim is to increase internal revenue, enhance operational efficiency, and improve working conditions for staff.

Mahimbali also commended TEMESA employees for their dedication and commitment over the past 20 years, saying their efforts have been central to the agency’s success in delivering essential technical services to the public.

He assured that management will continue focusing on improving staff welfare and motivation in order to boost productivity and ensure citizens receive timely and quality services.

As it enters its third decade, TEMESA says it remains committed to modernizing its operations, strengthening partnerships, and enhancing technical capacity to meet the growing needs of the country and support national development goals.
