The Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA) has stepped up efforts to attract foreign and domestic investment by presenting a portfolio of strategic projects and investment opportunities at the Tanzania Investment Summit 2026 underway in Arusha.

The authority is participating in the summit at the Gran Meliá Arusha, where government officials, business leaders, development partners and investors are meeting to explore opportunities across key sectors of the economy.

Speaking during a panel discussion, TISEZA Director of Investment Promotion George Mukono outlined Tanzania’s growing appeal as an investment destination, citing ongoing reforms, strategic infrastructure development and an improving business environment.

Mr Mukono said the authority is using the platform to market a range of investment opportunities available across the country and to strengthen engagement with potential investors from both local and international markets.

A key highlight of TISEZA’s participation was the presentation of the Tanzania Strategic Project Profile 2026, a document featuring priority projects earmarked for investment and economic transformation.

The authority also unveiled a pipeline of projects to be implemented through Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), targeting sectors considered critical to Tanzania’s long-term development agenda, including infrastructure, renewable energy, water, tourism and agro-processing.

The projects are expected to create new opportunities for private sector participation while supporting the country’s industrialisation drive and economic growth ambitions.

Alongside the discussions, TISEZA has established an exhibition booth at the summit where investors and other stakeholders can obtain information on investment procedures, available incentives, services offered by the authority and opportunities within Tanzania’s special economic zones.

The exhibition has attracted interest from local and international participants seeking information on the country’s investment climate and emerging business opportunities.

TISEZA said its participation in the summit is part of broader efforts to position Tanzania as a competitive investment hub in Africa, while mobilising capital needed to accelerate economic development and job creation.

The summit is expected to provide a platform for forging new business partnerships and unlocking investment commitments that could contribute to Tanzania’s development goals in the years ahead.
