The Dar es Salaam Special Zone Police Commander, Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police (SACP) Jumanne Muliro, has commended 32 inspectors and officers for outstanding performance in their duties within the zone, recognizing their contribution to strengthening law enforcement and public safety.
The recognition was made on June 2, 2026, at the Officers’ Mess grounds in Oysterbay, Kinondoni District, where SACP Muliro represented the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Camillus Wambura in acknowledging the efforts of the officers.
The ceremony brought together officers from various ranks serving under the Dar es Salaam Special Police Zone.
SACP Muliro praised the officers for demonstrating professionalism, discipline, courage, and commitment in the execution of their daily responsibilities under the Tanzania Police Force.
He noted that their performance reflects a strong sense of responsibility in maintaining peace and security in the country’s commercial capital.
He further emphasized that the recognition of the 32 officers was part of ongoing efforts by police leadership to motivate and encourage exemplary service delivery within the force.
According to him, rewarding good performance is essential in building morale and improving efficiency across all levels of policing.
He also called upon officers of all ranks to continue adhering strictly to national laws while executing their duties.
He stressed the importance of discipline, professionalism, integrity, and courage in addressing emerging security challenges.
SACP Muliro reminded officers that safeguarding citizens and their property requires strict adherence to ethical standards and respect for human rights, which remain central to modern policing.
