Said Juma Mshana, Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, paid a courtesy call on James Swan, United Nations Special Representative of the Secretary-General in the DRC and Head of MONUSCO.
During the meeting, the two leaders exchanged views on matters of mutual interest, with particular emphasis on peace, security, and stability in the Great Lakes Region.
They also discussed ongoing regional efforts aimed at promoting sustainable peace and development in the eastern DRC.
Ambassador Mshana commended MONUSCO’s continued contribution to peace and security in the DRC and the region, and conveyed his best wishes to Swan and the entire MONUSCO team for success in the implementation of their mandate and mission.
The meeting reaffirmed the importance of continued cooperation and dialogue in advancing regional peace and stability.
