Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania, Mwigulu Nchemba, has praised the Chief Executive Officer of the Public-Private Partnership Centre (PPP Centre), David Kafulila, describing him as one of the young leaders in the country with the capacity to understand global development trends and apply them to national reforms.
Speaking on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, during the launch of the Tanzania Chamber Portal and the Annual Business and Investment Conference 2026, the Prime Minister said the Sixth Phase Government under President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan has continued to place trust in young leaders by assigning them key positions due to their ability to deliver results.
He singled out Kafulila as an example, noting that he has a broad understanding of development issues and actively follows successful systems from different countries to help adapt best practices to Tanzania’s development agenda.
“Fortunately, President Samia has placed great trust in young people across various sectors. At the PPP Centre, there is my brother Kafulila, a young man with exposure and a strong grasp of current affairs, who understands how different countries have succeeded and how those lessons can be applied here,” said the Prime Minister.
In his address, the Prime Minister emphasized that the private sector agenda has now become a national priority, stressing that the implementation of Tanzania’s Vision 2050 depends heavily by about 70 percent on the contribution of the private sector.
He underscored the need to strengthen collaboration between the government and the business community.
He further noted that President Samia has approved efforts to remove legal bottlenecks that hinder business and investment, adding that any laws obstructing development should be reviewed and amended by Parliament to accelerate the national development agenda.
