The Mining Commission is using the ongoing Public Service Week Exhibition in Dodoma to raise public awareness about Tanzania’s mining industry, its contribution to the economy and the opportunities it offers to citizens and investors.
The week-long exhibition, being held at Chinangali Park from June 16 to 23, has brought together government institutions and public agencies under the theme, “Promoting Accountability for Sustainable Service Delivery.”
At its pavilion, the Commission is showcasing Tanzania’s mineral resources and providing information on investment opportunities, employment prospects and participation in mineral trading.
Officials are also educating visitors on the regulatory framework governing mining activities and the range of services offered by the Commission.
The outreach comes as Tanzania continues to promote greater local participation in the mining value chain, a sector that remains among the country’s leading contributors to economic growth, exports and government revenue.
Visitors to the Commission’s stand are receiving guidance on licensing procedures, compliance requirements and other key aspects of the mining business, with officials encouraging more Tanzanians to explore opportunities within the sector.
The exhibition is expected to attract thousands of visitors, including students, entrepreneurs and investors seeking information on public services and economic opportunities.
The Public Service Week Exhibition will be officially opened on June 17 by the Minister of State in the President’s Office for Public Service Management and Good Governance, Ridhiwani Kikwete.
Organisers have encouraged members of the public to visit the exhibition and engage directly with government institutions to learn about the services, programmes and opportunities available across different sectors of the economy.
