Mineral indicative prices for June 06, 2026

The Mining Commission of Tanzania has released the official indicative mineral prices for Saturday, June 6, 2026, providing updated reference rates for gold, silver, and copper across local and international markets.

The prices are used as a benchmark to guide miners, traders, and buying centres nationwide, ensuring transparency, consistency, and fairness in mineral transactions within the country’s growing extractive industry.

According to the Commission’s data, the three key minerals continue to reflect stable global and domestic market trends, with gold maintaining its strong value position, while silver and copper also recording steady performance.

Gold, which remains one of Tanzania’s most important export minerals, continues to command high prices in both international and local markets.

The world market price stands at USD 4,435.94 per troy ounce, equivalent to TZS 374,110.18 per gram. Locally, the mineral market price is set at TZS 336,699.16 per gram, while buying centres are offering TZS 329,216.96 per gram.

Silver also shows stable performance in the latest pricing update. The world market price is recorded at USD 73.92 per troy ounce, equivalent to TZS 6,234.13 per gram.

The mineral market price is TZS 5,610.72 per gram, while buying centres are purchasing at TZS 5,486.03 per gram.

Copper, an important industrial metal used widely in manufacturing and construction, is priced at USD 6.31 per pound on the world market, equivalent to TZS 36.47 per gram.

The mineral market price is TZS 32.82 per gram, while buying centres are offering TZS 32.09 per gram.

In its guidance, the Mining Commission noted that the indicative prices are issued regularly to support orderly mineral trading and to protect small-scale miners from price exploitation.

Stakeholders have been urged to observe the official benchmarks at all licensed buying centres across the country.

For further updates, the Commission advised the public and stakeholders to follow official communication channels, including its portal at www.tumemadini.go.tz.
