Manyara Region has recorded major development gains worth TZS 790 billion since President Samia Suluhu Hassan assumed office, with investments directed to key sectors including health, education, water, and infrastructure aimed at improving citizens’ daily lives.
Manyara Regional Commissioner Queen Cuthbert Sendiga revealed the figures during a visit by the Secretary for Ideology, Publicity and Training of the ruling party CCM, Kenani Laban Kihongosi, in Simanjiro District, as he concluded a three-day working tour of the region.
RC Sendiga said the funds have translated into visible development projects across the region, improving access to essential services and supporting economic activities at community level. She noted that hospitals, schools, water schemes, and road networks have all benefited from government investment.
She expressed appreciation to President Samia Suluhu Hassan, saying the financial commitment to Manyara has enabled residents to witness practical changes in their lives, from improved service delivery to better infrastructure connectivity.
According to the Regional Commissioner, the region is also set to receive additional development funding amounting to TZS 300.6 billion in the 2026/2027 financial year.
She said the new funds will continue strengthening ongoing projects while supporting new ones in underserved areas.
During the same engagement, CCM Secretary for Ideology, Publicity and Training Kenani Laban Kihongosi commended the regional leadership for effective coordination in implementing government development programmes.
He said the progress in Manyara reflects strong cooperation between government leaders and citizens at all levels.
Kihongosi urged residents to maintain collaboration with their leaders to ensure continued development progress, emphasizing that unity and participation are key to sustaining the achievements already recorded.
He further noted his familiarity with the leadership of RC Sendiga, praising her experience in public administration and saying it has contributed to improved efficiency in delivering services to wananchi.
The visit highlighted ongoing government efforts to strengthen service delivery, enhance accountability, and ensure development projects directly benefit communities across Manyara Region.
