The head of former Institute of Finance Management student James Temba, who was brutally murdered and buried days ago, has been found in the Kitunda Kibeberu area of Ilala District in Dar es Salaam, bringing a new development to a case that has shocked many Tanzanians.

The discovery was confirmed by the deceased’s father, Mzee Temba, who said the family received official information from the police after the body part was recovered during ongoing investigations.

Speaking after receiving the news, Mzee Temba said the family plans to bury the head near the grave where the rest of his son’s body was laid to rest once police complete all legal and investigative procedures.

He explained that during the earlier burial ceremony, the family deliberately left a special space at the gravesite in anticipation that the missing head might eventually be found and buried together with the body.

“This was a very painful moment for our family, but we thank God and the authorities because at least this important part of our son’s body has now been found,” he said.

Mzee Temba also commended the police for their continued efforts in tracking the case and recovering the missing body part.

The tragic killing of James Temba has drawn widespread public attention, with many Tanzanians expressing sympathy and calling for justice over the brutal incident.

The family further thanked relatives, friends, journalists and members of the public for standing with them during the difficult mourning period.
