Members of the Petroleum Bulk Procurement Agency (PBPA) Staff Council have been urged to uphold integrity, transparency, and professionalism in representing employees, a move aimed at boosting efficiency and performance within the agency.

The call was made by PBPA’s Finance and Planning Manager, Mr. Kedron Mbwilo, speaking on behalf of the agency’s Chief Executive Officer during the opening of the Second Staff Council Meeting at Mwalimu Nyerere Leadership College, Kibaha.

Mr. Mbwilo described the Staff Council as a critical bridge between management and employees. He urged members to carry out their duties with honesty and accountability, ensuring staff concerns are effectively communicated and addressed.

“The Staff Council is a vital link between management and staff. Council members must act with integrity and represent colleagues professionally to enhance productivity and efficiency,” he said.

He also encouraged employees to continue working collaboratively to support the government’s National Development Vision 2050, particularly in ensuring reliable petroleum supply, strong infrastructure, and effective resource management.

PBPA’s Acting Human Resources Manager, Mr. Matiko Sanawa, called on council members to use the meeting as an opportunity to discuss ideas, proposals, and challenges openly, strengthening the agency’s operations.

The meeting is conducted in line with legal requirements and covers key items, including the implementation report of the Work Plan and Budget for July 2025–December 2026, the draft Work Plan for 2026/2027–2030/2031, and the draft Budget for the 2026/2027 fiscal year.
