Mineral indicative prices for March 03,2026


The Tanzania Mining Commission has released the latest indicative prices for gold and silver as of March 3, 2026, providing essential benchmarks for miners, traders, and buying centers across the country. The world market price of gold currently stands at USD 5,402.03 per troy ounce, equivalent to TZS 444,481.46 per gram. 

Locally, the mineral market price is set at TZS 400,033.32 per gram, while buying centers offer TZS 391,143.69 per gram.

For silver, the world market price is USD 94.62 per troy ounce or TZS 7,785.38 per gram. The mineral market in Tanzania values silver at TZS 7,006.84 per gram, and buying centers purchase it at TZS 6,851.13 per gram.

The commission notes that these indicative prices reflect global market trends and provide guidance for local trading and valuation of mineral resources. 

They serve as reference points, and actual transaction prices may vary depending on the quality of the mineral and prevailing market conditions.
