Tanzania’s national pool team has vowed to deliver top performances at the ongoing All Africa Pool Championship in South Africa.

Speaking from South Africa, team captain Innocent Sammy said the players are well-prepared, physically fit, and motivated to succeed.

“Our goal is to perform at our best and aim for the championship title,” Sammy said. “In the last tournament, we finished second. That experience taught us valuable lessons, and since then, we have trained extensively to strengthen our bodies, sharpen our skills, and correct minor mistakes under the guidance of head coach Denisi Lungu.”

The national team squad features both men and women, including Abdallah Miraji, Jackson Ng’anyi, Norbert Kobelo, Melkizedeck Amadeus, Innocent Kahewanga, and Issaya Paul.

The female players include Rose Kazaura, Maryan Sheiban, Grace Rajabu, Judith Machafuko, and Cecilia Kileo.

Individual players representing Tanzania are Omary Akida, Mkwega, Charles Mgimwa, and Ambele Stephen.

With disciplined preparation and a strong sense of determination, the Tanzanian team is ready to compete fiercely and aims to bring the championship title home.
