Mtibwa Sugar secured a 2-1 win over Tanzania Prisons in the NBC Tanzania Mainland Premier League match at Jamhuri Stadium in Dodoma, but Head Coach Yusuf Chipo admitted his players did not perform at their best.
Speaking in Dodoma, Chipo said his team created several scoring chances but struggled to convert them into goals.
He emphasized that the main goal is to collect points consistently to stay in contention for the top league positions.
“Our objective is to fight for three points in every match. We will continue to improve as we prepare for the next game,” Chipo said.
Meanwhile, Tanzania Prisons Head Coach Zedekiah Otieno acknowledged that his side failed to execute their game plan, which cost them a better result.
“We accept the loss. Mistakes in our play led to the result, and we will return to training to fix these issues ahead of upcoming matches,” Otieno said.
