Mineral indicative prices for February 04,2026


The Mining Commission of Tanzania has released its latest indicative prices for gold and silver, reflecting global trends and local market conditions.

Gold prices on the world market are currently at USD 5,081.50 per troy ounce, equivalent to Tanzania Shillings (TZS) 416,119.85 per gram

Locally, gold mineral market prices are set at TZS 374,507.87 per gram, while buying center prices are slightly lower at TZS 366,185.47 per gram.

Silver, on the other hand, has a world market price of USD 87.77 per troy ounce, equivalent to TZS 7,187.41 per gram

The local mineral market price for silver stands at TZS 6,468.67 per gram, with buying center prices at TZS 6,324.92 per gram.

The Mining Commission emphasizes that these indicative prices serve as a guideline for traders, buyers, and miners across the country to ensure transparency and fair trade in the minerals sector.
