Mineral indicative prices for February 26,2026

 

The Tanzania Mining Commission has released its latest indicative prices for gold and silver, providing critical guidance for miners, traders, and investors across the country.

Gold prices on the global market now stand at USD 5,206.55 per troy ounce and TZS 430,298.88 per gram. Locally, the mineral market price for gold is TZS 387,268.99 per gram, while buying centers are offering TZS 378,663.01 per gram.

For silver, the world market price is USD 90.71 per troy ounce or TZS 7,496.79 per gram, with local mineral prices at TZS 6,747.11 per gram and buying centers offering TZS 6,597.18 per gram.

The commission’s updated rates serve as a benchmark for both domestic and international trade, ensuring transparency and fair pricing in Tanzania’s mining sector. Miners and dealers are encouraged to use these prices when conducting transactions to reflect the current market conditions.
