Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner, Albert Chalamila, has urged teachers and education stakeholders to translate President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan’s vision into tangible results, stressing the need for students to excel academically and grow into a productive generation.

Speaking at a meeting with head teachers, education officers, and other sector leaders, RC Chalamila emphasized the government’s high expectations for education and the significant investments being made across the region.

“The government has ambitious goals for education, and it is vital that teachers and stakeholders turn this vision into action,” he said.

He also called on directors, education officers, and department heads to address challenges facing teachers to ensure they can fully support the government’s objectives for the sector.

Dar es Salaam Regional Education Officer Gift Kyando and City Director Elihuruma Maberya shared an overview of the current state of education in the region and outlined strategies to improve learning outcomes.

They highlighted plans to create better teaching and learning environments for students completing Primary Seven and Standard Six next year, who are expected to join secondary school in 2028.

Teachers attending the meeting urged the government to continue improving school facilities, particularly infrastructure and classroom furniture, to enhance their ability to teach effectively.
