The Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) has announced a public training programme aimed at helping taxpayers and business operators better understand and use the Integrated Domestic Revenue Administration System (IDRAS), a key digital system for managing domestic taxes.
In a public notice issued in Dar es Salaam, TRA said the training targets traders, companies, and individual taxpayers, with the goal of improving tax compliance and making tax administration easier through digital services.
The training will be conducted over two days. The first session will take place on Tuesday, January 21, 2026, at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre (JNICC), Gymkhana Hall.
The second session is scheduled for Wednesday, January 22, 2026, at Milimani City Conference Hall. Both sessions will run from 3:00 am to 9:00 am.
TRA explained that participants will receive practical guidance on how to use the IDRAS system, including registration, filing, and other domestic tax-related services.
The authority noted that the system is designed to simplify tax processes, enhance efficiency, and improve transparency between taxpayers and the government.
The authority encouraged all businesspeople and taxpayers to attend, describing the training as an important opportunity to learn together, ask questions, and gain a clearer understanding of their tax obligations.
The training is organized by TRA’s Department of Taxpayer Education and Communication and reflects the authority’s continued commitment to strengthening voluntary tax compliance in line with the national development agenda under the theme, “Together We Build Our Nation.”
