Councillors of the Kibaha Municipal Council have carried out an inspection tour of ongoing and completed development projects in four wards, reaffirming the municipality’s commitment to improving service delivery and safeguarding public resources for the benefit of residents.

The visit brought together members of the Town Planning, Urban Development and Environment Committee and the Economic Affairs and Social Services Committee, under the leadership of the Mayor of Kibaha Municipality, Dr. Mawazo Ginhu Nicas.

During the tour, the councillors inspected a range of key projects, including the Misugusugu dumpsite, offices of institutions that have been surveyed and issued with title deeds, the Misugusugu Dispensary, the Visiga Ward Office, and Maili 35 Primary School.

These projects are aimed at strengthening essential services such as sanitation, healthcare, education and public administration.

The committees also assessed progress on education infrastructure projects, notably the construction of Mwalimu Nyerere Pre- and Primary School in Sofu Ward, as well as Mwambisi Pre- and Primary School in Kongowe Ward.

The schools are expected to improve access to quality education and reduce congestion in existing learning facilities.

Speaking after the visit, Mayor Dr. Mawazo Ginhu Nicas said the councillors were satisfied with the implementation and quality of the projects inspected.

He praised the Municipal Director, Dr. Rogers Shemwelekwa, and the team of technical experts for their effective supervision and dedication.

“We have seen commendable work that has been implemented professionally. Kibaha Municipality is making steady progress, including surveying institutional land and issuing title deeds, which enhances the protection of public property and creates a stronger foundation for reliable service delivery to citizens,” said Dr. Nicas.

He emphasized that the municipality will continue to closely monitor all development projects to ensure they meet required standards, are completed on time, and deliver lasting benefits to the people of Kibaha.
