Tanga Regional Commissioner recognizes TADB’s role in boosting agriculture, livestock, and fisheries

The Regional Commissioner of Tanga, Ambassador Dr. Batilda Burian, has commended the Tanzania Agricultural Development Bank (TADB) for its pivotal role in transforming the country’s agricultural sector from subsistence farming to commercial agriculture.

Dr. Burian made the remarks during a visit to TADB’s exhibition stand at the National Financial Services Week celebrations, held at Usagara Grounds in Tanga.

During her visit, she was welcomed by TADB officials and briefed on the bank’s growth, achievements, and the financial services it provides along agricultural, livestock, and fisheries value chains. 


The briefing highlighted the bank’s efforts in Tanga Region and across the Northern Zone to support farmers, livestock keepers, and fishers in expanding their businesses.

The Regional Commissioner praised TADB for contributing to inclusive economic growth by offering accessible financial solutions and empowering communities with financial literacy.

TADB also expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Finance and the event’s Organizing Committee for acknowledging the bank’s commitment to delivering high-quality financial services to citizens of Tanga and neighboring regions.

In recognition of its impact, TADB was awarded third place among banks and financial institutions and received a special award for its exemplary contribution.

The National Financial Services Week celebrations concluded today, January 26, 2026, at Usagara Grounds, Tanga, highlighting the importance of accessible financial services in driving Tanzania’s economic development.
