The Minister of State in the President’s Office – Youth Development, Hon. Joel Nanauka, has arrived at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre (JNICC) for the launch of the national youth platform named ‘Vijana Platform’.

The platform is expected to serve as a model for connecting youth from all corners of the country, with the aim of collaborating, exchanging ideas, and shaping the nation’s future.

The launch comes at a time when youth policies are being promoted by the government to empower young people in social, economic, and technological development.

During the event, many young people from various regions of the country gathered to participate in the launch, with some identified as youth leaders at the forefront of collaborating with the Ministry on this initiative.

The platform also seeks to encourage innovation, creativity, and active civic engagement among youth, giving them a voice in national development and policy-making processes.

Minister Nanauka encouraged young people to collaborate genuinely, use the platform to exchange ideas, build strong networks, and develop talents that will contribute to the country’s development.

He also emphasized the importance of youth engaging in development projects, entrepreneurship, and innovation to support national economic growth.

The Minister further noted that such platforms will create pathways for international partnerships, allowing Tanzanian youth to learn from global best practices and connect with youth organizations abroad.

The launch of Vijana Platform includes trainings, workshops, mentorship programs, and discussion sessions that enable young people to interact directly with government representatives, development stakeholders, and international organizations involved in youth affairs.

Participants will also have opportunities to present projects, share success stories, and receive guidance on career and academic pathways, ensuring that their ideas contribute meaningfully to national priorities.

The event is part of the government’s broader plan to invest in youth resources, ensuring that young people can contribute to national development through innovation, entrepreneurship, and active collaboration.

Officials say the platform will act as a hub for talent discovery, leadership development, and youth empowerment, further cementing Tanzania’s commitment to inclusive and participatory growth.
