Air Tanzania Company Limited (ATCL) has opened applications for its Ab Initio Cabin Crew Course, offering young Tanzanians an opportunity to pursue a professional career in aviation through structured training at its Training Centre.
The national carrier said the new intake will begin on March 10, 2026, with applications closing on February 15, 2026.
The programme targets aspiring cabin crew members aged 18 to 25 years, with a minimum height requirement of 5 feet 4 inches (164 cm).
Eligible applicants must hold a Form Four certificate, with compulsory passes in English and Geography, and demonstrate fluency in both Swahili and English.
The airline noted that candidates must also meet aviation industry standards related to grooming, professionalism and customer service readiness.
The Ab Initio Cabin Crew Course is designed to equip trainees with core competencies in passenger safety, inflight service, emergency procedures, communication skills, and airline operational standards. Graduates of the programme are expected to be well-positioned for potential employment within Air Tanzania and the wider aviation sector.
As part of the application process, candidates are required to submit copies of their academic certificates, birth certificate, passport-sized photographs with a blue background, a full-size photograph, and an updated curriculum vitae (CV).
Applications can be submitted physically at the Principal’s Office, ATCL Training Centre, Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA) Terminal One, or electronically via training@airtanzania.co.tz.
The initiative aligns with Air Tanzania’s broader strategy to build local aviation talent, enhance service quality, and expand opportunities for Tanzanian youth seeking careers in the fast-growing air transport industry.
With the aviation sector continuing to recover and expand across Africa, the programme is expected to attract strong interest from young people eager to enter a competitive and globally connected profession.
