Tanzania’s security and defense forces remain fully prepared to safeguard citizens, their property, and national borders at all times, the government has confirmed.
Chief Government Spokesperson Mr. Gerson Msigwa assured the public that the forces’ readiness is continuous, not limited to any specific day.
“Our security and defense forces, as they were yesterday and as they are today, will remain ready on December 9 and beyond. They are always on alert to ensure the safety of our people, their property, and the integrity of our borders,” he said.
Speaking to local media in Dar es Salaam, Mr. Msigwa also called on Tanzanians to actively participate in protecting their country.
He urged citizens to act responsibly and independently, ensuring their actions contribute positively to national security.
He further highlighted that the Sixth Phase Government is committed to listening to citizens and taking necessary measures based on the country’s available resources.
“We are ready to act on issues that Tanzanians identify as important for the safety and well-being of the nation,” he added.
