Singida Black Stars have completed preparations and are ready to compete in the Mapinduzi Cup, which kicks off on December 28 at the New Amaan Complex in Zanzibar.

The Singida-based side will open their campaign against hosts Mlandege FC, becoming one of the first teams to grace the pitch as the annual tournament gets underway.

The club heads into the competition with high morale and renewed ambition as it looks to make a strong statement early in the new football year.

Speaking ahead of the tournament, Singida Black Stars Head of Information and Communication, Hussein Massanza, confirmed that all preparations have been finalized and the squad is fully fit and focused.

“Our preparations are complete. The team is ready physically and mentally to compete in every match and fight for positive results,” Massanza said.

He stressed that the Mapinduzi Cup presents an important opportunity for the club to test its strength and build momentum ahead of the rest of the season, adding that the team is targeting nothing less than a strong performance.

“Our main goal is to perform well and, if possible, win the title. We want to start the year by lifting trophies and giving our fans something to celebrate,” he added.

Massanza said the team has already arrived in Zanzibar in high spirits, with players in good condition and the technical bench well prepared to utilize the tournament to sharpen the squad and strengthen team cohesion.

The travelling delegation includes all players registered for the tournament, the full technical team, and selected club officials, underscoring the importance Singida Black Stars have attached to the Mapinduzi Cup.

The Mapinduzi Cup is expected to attract several teams from both within and outside the country, adding to the competition’s prestige and intensity.

Singida Black Stars are eager to use the platform to showcase their quality and competitiveness as they aim to progress deep into the tournament.

With preparations complete and confidence high, Singida Black Stars will be hoping to begin their Mapinduzi Cup campaign on a positive note when they face Mlandege FC in Zanzibar.
