On the occasion of the end of 2025, the President of the African Youth Parliament, Honorable Agbegnigan Yaovi, addressed a solemn message to African youth, institutional partners, and diaspora stakeholders, reaffirming the central role of young people in building a united, prosperous, and sovereign Africa.
In a speech marked by hope and pan-African vision, the president reflected on a year described as "historic", marked by the establishment of the African Youth Parliament, a continental institution dedicated to the representation, engagement, and empowerment of African youth.
This initiative is under the aegis of the Kingdom of Kush and the United States of Africa, with the ambition to amplify the voice of youth across the 55 countries of the continent and beyond.
"Africa cannot be built sustainably without its youth. They must be actors, decision-makers, and proposers," emphasized Honorable Agbegnigan Yaovi.
An institution serving 55 African nations
Created to address contemporary challenges facing African youth, the African Youth Parliament aims to be an inclusive framework for dialogue, training, and action.
According to its president, the first months have laid the organizational foundations of the institution, mobilized young leaders, and initiated cooperation dynamics at the continental level.
The presidential message highlights a clear vision: a united, aware, and engaged youth, capable of addressing challenges related to education, governance, innovation, peace, environment, and economic development.
Looking ahead to 2026: concrete actions announced
Projecting into 2026, the President of the African Youth Parliament announced strengthened actions in several strategic sectors. He notably mentioned the continuation of structuring national sections, recruiting young leaders and committed experts, and consolidating strategic partnerships for the empowerment of African youth.
This dynamic aims to transform pan-African ideals into concrete, measurable, and sustainable actions, for the benefit of current and future generations.
Tribute and recognition
In his message, Honorable Agbegnigan Yaovi expressed gratitude to His Royal Majesty Mansa Suliman Al Kushi, saluting his leadership, vision, and constant support for the project.
He also paid tribute to members, coordinators, experts, and partners actively contributing to the implementation of this continental initiative.
A call for unity and excellence
Beyond the review, the end-of-year message is a strong call for African unity. The president emphasized the fundamental values guiding the action of the African Youth Parliament: integrity, pan-Africanism, service, and excellence.
In conclusion, he invited every African youth, on the continent and in the diaspora, to feel represented and involved in this collective dynamic. "African youth must rise, unite, and build the Africa they deserve," he declared.
