TAWA officer injured on duty receives mobility support from deputy minister Chande

Deputy Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism, Hon. Hamad Chande, has handed over a three-wheeled motorcycle to Mr. Elihuruma Rashid, a Second-Class Wildlife Ranger at the Tanzania Wildlife Management Authority (TAWA).

 Mr. Rashid was injured while carrying out his conservation duties.

During the brief handover held on November 24, 2025, Hon. Chande said the motorcycle is meant to support the ranger’s daily mobility needs

The donation was made as part of the Deputy Minister’s working tour, in help to reduce the transport challenges he has been facing since his injury.

Hon. Chande visited institutions under the Ministry to familiarize himself with operations and observe ongoing conservation and tourism efforts.
