Tanzanian Clubs set for high-stakes CAF battles this weekend

Tanzania’s top football clubs are entering a decisive weekend in the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup, with all four representatives preparing for crucial fixtures at home and away.

Young Africans SC (Yanga) will open Tanzania’s continental campaign on Friday as they travel to Algeria for their return leg against JS Kabylie. 

Yanga SC head into the match with an advantage after winning the first leg in Dar es Salaam, and will be seeking to secure progression on foreign soil. 


The match will kick off at 11:00 p.m. East Africa Time and will be broadcast live on AzamSports1HD.

Simba SC will follow on Sunday, November 30, when the Msimbazi side face Mali’s Stade Malien at the 26 Mars Stadium in Bamako in a key CAF Champions League Group D encounter. Kickoff is set for 11:00 p.m., with live coverage on AzamSports1HD.

In the CAF Confederation Cup, Azam FC and Singida Black Stars return home to the New Amaan Complex in Zanzibar for must-win fixtures. 


On Friday, November 28, Azam FC will host Wydad Casablanca of Morocco in a highly anticipated night match starting at 11:00 p.m., to be aired live on AzamSports2HD.

Singida Black Stars will take the same stage on Sunday, November 30, when they welcome South Africa’s Stellenbosch FC. Their fixture will also begin at 11:00 p.m., with live broadcast on AzamSports3HD.

Fans can watch all matches through Azam Media platforms with a subscription package priced at TSh 28,000.
