Tanzania’s Health Minister, Mohamed Mchengerwa, arrived in Algiers, Algeria, on November 26, 2025, to take part in the African Ministers’ Meeting on Medicines Production and Health Technologies.
Minister Mchengerwa was received at Houari Boumedien International Airport by his Algerian counterpart, Muhammed Seddik Ait Messaoudene, alongside the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Pharmaceutical Industries, Mr. Dehane Khaled. Tanzania’s Ambassador to Algeria, Iman Njalikai, also attended the official reception.
The three-day meeting, running from November 27 to 29, 2025, is organized by the Algerian government in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO).
It will bring together African health leaders to discuss strategies for boosting local production of medicines and advancing health technologies across the continent.
