The Minister for Industry and Trade, Judith S. Kapinga, has praised the Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade) for its strong performance in promoting markets for locally produced goods and services through trade exhibitions and international business missions.
During a working tour of institutions under her ministry on 28 November 2025, Minister Kapinga visited TanTrade’s offices along Kilwa Road in Dar es Salaam, where she highlighted the authority’s contribution to connecting Tanzanian producers with regional and global markets.
She said TanTrade’s efforts have helped expand opportunities for businesses, encouraged value addition and strengthened the visibility of Tanzanian products abroad.
Minister Kapinga also directed the authority to improve the compatibility of its digital systems and enhance the flow of trade and market information to stakeholders.
She stressed that timely, reliable data is essential for supporting business decisions and boosting the country’s competitiveness.
She added that efficient information-sharing will help accelerate the growth of the trade sector and enable more Tanzanians to benefit from expanding market opportunities.
