Soccer City have made a bright start to the Dar es Salaam Regional Football League after claiming a 2–1 win over Bara FC in their opening match at the Azam Complex in Chamazi.

Speaking to The Respondents Online after the game, Soccer City Assistant Coach Alfred Bukuku said the victory was a result of the team’s thorough preparations and a strong support system created for the players.

“We prepared well for this match. We invested in strengthening the players both mentally and physically, and that played a big part in today’s success,” Bukuku said.

He noted that the club is aiming for consistent performances this season, building on their impressive journey in the recent Ndondo Cup tournament.

“We finished second in the Ndondo Cup, and now we are focused on the regional league. We want to do even better and compete strongly throughout the season,” he added.

Bukuku also highlighted the rising competitiveness in local football, saying many teams have improved significantly, making every victory hard-earned.

On his part, Soccer City midfielder Fadhili Kitime credited teamwork and discipline for their winning start.

“We are happy with the result. Our preparation was good and the unity within the team is strong. We promise to keep working hard, and we encourage our fans to continue supporting us so we can achieve even more,” Kitime said.
