The Tanzanian Ambassador to Comoros, Saidi Yakub, has lauded Muhimbili National Hospital (MNH) for sending a substantial team of specialist doctors to a medical camp in Comoros.
The initiative is part of efforts to implement directives given by President Samia Suluhu Hassan during her recent visit to the islands.
In an interview with MNH’s Public Relations Officer, Ambassador Yakub highlighted that the hospital has deployed seven specialist doctors, more than any other institution participating in the camp.
“Muhimbili Hospital has sent seven highly skilled specialists who will provide services in kidney care, dermatology, ophthalmology, dentistry, maternal health, and women’s diseases,” he said.
He added that although the medical camp officially opened on October 4, 2025, more than 1,000 people had already registered to receive specialist care, reflecting high demand for expert medical services in the country.
