President Samia Suluhu Hassan has dissolved the boards of the Dar Rapid Transit Agency (DART) and Udart Bus Company (UDART), appointing new chairpersons to strengthen leadership and improve service delivery.

The Chief Secretary, Ambassador Dr. Moses Kusiluka, announced the new appointments, naming David Zacharia Kafulila as Chairperson of DART’s Advisory Board and Ambassador Dr. Ramadhani Kitwana Dau as Chairperson of UDART’s Board.

The government said the move aims to enhance oversight and operational efficiency in public transport institutions, particularly in urban areas where rapid transit services are vital for commuters.

The changes were communicated through the President’s Office, Directorate of Communications, signed by Sharifa B. Nyanga, Director of Presidential Communications.
