Tanzania’s tourism sector took center stage in Spain this week as the Tourism Road Show concluded its three-day tour of Barcelona, Madrid, and Seville.

The event, which ran from October 6 to 8, brought together major travel agents to showcase Tanzania’s unique attractions and investment opportunities.

Around 100 Spanish travel agents attended the exhibition, offering Tanzania, through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA) and Tanzania National Parks Authority (TANAPA), a strategic platform to expand its presence in the European tourism market.

Mr. Oscar Gabaldón, Director of the Spanish Travel Agents Association and representative of Tanganyika Expeditions in Spain, said the road show responded to growing interest from Spanish tourists eager to explore Tanzania’s diverse offerings.

“Tanzania is a country of exceptional beauty, blessed with wildlife, rich culture, pristine beaches, and captivating mountains. These attractions make it easier to draw visitors from Spain and across Europe,” he said.

Officials from Ngorongoro and TANAPA highlighted that the exhibition provided a valuable opportunity to market both tourist sites and investment prospects within their managed areas.

They stressed that such initiatives are crucial for boosting tourist arrivals and achieving Tanzania’s national target of eight million visitors by 2030.
