Residents of Kibaha Urban have been urged to actively participate in the upcoming elections on October 29, 2025, to elect local councilors, Members of Parliament, and the President.
The call comes from the constituency’s 2025 General Election Officer, Ms. Theresia Kyara, who emphasized the role of public servants as leaders in promoting voter participation.
Ms. Kyara addressed staff at the Kibaha Municipal Council headquarters, stressing that public servants must set an example by turning out to vote.
“When we encourage citizens to vote, we must lead by example. This is our opportunity to shape the future of our country by voting peacefully and responsibly,” she said.
She confirmed that all constituency-level preparations for the elections have been completed and urged citizens to exercise their constitutional right by showing up in large numbers.
“We call on all residents of Kibaha Urban to come out on October 29. Everything is ready now it’s time to vote peacefully and responsibly, choosing leaders who reflect our democratic values,” Ms. Kyara added.
The election officer also encouraged municipal staff to continue educating communities on the importance of participating in elections, aiming for a strong voter turnout across the constituency.
