The International Power and Solar Energy Trade Exhibition 2025, a premier global event promoting innovation, investment, and collaboration in the energy sector, was officially launched today in Dar es Salaam.

The exhibition brings together stakeholders from around the world to explore advanced energy solutions, solar technologies, and sustainable practices, highlighting Tanzania’s commitment to clean and reliable energy development.

Speaking at the inauguration, Mr. Emillian Nyanda, Head of the Environmental Management Unit at the Ministry of Energy, representing the Permanent Secretary, emphasized the government’s overarching strategy to establish diverse and sustainable energy sources that guarantee reliable, affordable electricity for all citizens.

“The government’s priority is to diversify our energy sources. We are confident that through combined efforts from the government and investors, we can enhance efficiency and introduce innovative technologies that will drive progress in this crucial sector,” Mr. Nyanda said.

He further highlighted that the government continues to work closely with the private sector and international partners to optimize energy use while safeguarding the environment and aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

On his part, Mr. Duncan Njange, Managing Director of ExpoGroup Tanzania, the organizing company, said the exhibition this year features participation from over 20 companies worldwide, spanning solar energy, power generation, distribution, energy storage, smart grids, and energy efficiency solutions.

“We are proud to host exhibitors from more than 20 countries, covering a broad spectrum of the energy sector. We warmly invite Tanzanians and international visitors to attend the exhibition, witness the latest innovations, and explore opportunities for collaboration and investment,” Mr. Njange said.

The exhibition will continue for two more days, offering attendees the opportunity to experience, learn, and engage with cutting-edge technologies in renewable energy and power solutions.

Highlights include solar panel innovations, energy storage systems, smart grid demonstrations, and energy management solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial applications.

The International Power and Solar Energy Trade Exhibition 2025 serves as a critical platform for building partnerships, showcasing sustainable technologies, and stimulating investment in the energy sector.

Organizers emphasize that such events play a pivotal role in accelerating Tanzania’s transition to clean, efficient, and sustainable energy, while strengthening regional energy collaboration in East Africa.

“This exhibition is more than a showcase; it reflects Tanzania’s commitment to advancing the energy sector, empowering youth, and fostering both local and international investment in sustainable development,” added Mr. Njange.
