Following the recent suspension of player registrations by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Fountain Gate Football Club has announced a special Tanzanite Day festival, set to take place tomorrow at Tanzanite Stadium in Babati, Manyara Region.
Speaking to The Respondents Online, Fountain Gate’s Public Relations Officer, Issa Liponda, popularly known as 'Mbuzi', said the festival aims to showcase players who have not had the chance to appear in matches due to various reasons.
“Fountain Gate has organized this Tanzanite Day event to introduce our players who have remained out of the spotlight since the season began, especially following the registration suspension. Tomorrow is a special day for stakeholders, fans, and supporters to see them in action,” Mbuzi said.
Preparations are ongoing to ensure the festival is professionally managed, with the club planning a friendly match against either Mtibwa Sugar or Singida Black Stars during the event.
The festival also serves as an opportunity to reconnect with fans and restore confidence in the team. Mbuzi emphasized the importance of continued support, saying, “We now have a complete squad. Fans and stakeholders should not lose hope but continue cheering for us. Although we have lost nine points, we are confident of performing better in the upcoming matches.”
In addition to the festivities, Fountain Gate unveiled its new home and away jerseys today in Manyara, adding to the excitement surrounding the event.
