Bukombe, Geita. Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) parliamentary candidate for Bukombe constituency, Doto Mashaka Biteko, has said the government under President Samia Suluhu Hassan has transformed Namonge Ward through new projects in health, education, water and electricity.

Addressing a campaign rally at Bwenda Village on October 1, 2025, Dr Biteko said Namonge once lacked essential services, with no reliable roads, water, or power supply. Even teachers assigned to local schools struggled to cope with the poor conditions, he noted.

“Today, the health centre is complete, an ambulance will arrive tomorrow, and we now have 14 primary schools and three secondary schools. Our next step is to build A-level schools so children here can study without travelling far,” he told supporters.

Dr Biteko urged the 31,772 registered voters in Namonge to turn out for the October 29 general election and back CCM candidates, including President Samia, himself, and ward councillor candidate Malalu Bundala.

“Vote for President Samia, vote for Biteko, vote for Malalu—then hold us accountable for more development,” he said.

He also promised that CCM would rehabilitate Bwenda Primary School and connect all remaining households to electricity.

Mr Bundala, the councillor candidate, said all major projects in the ward have been implemented under President Samia’s leadership.

These include the construction of two teachers’ houses in Nyamagana Village, a new school at Bwenda, and the drilling of two water wells.

He added that Namonge is set to benefit further from President Samia’s plan to provide five boreholes in every constituency to ease water shortages.

Dr Biteko further told residents that President Samia is scheduled to visit Bukombe on October 12, urging them to attend in large numbers to show their support.
